Frédéric Boucheron (1830–1902) was an exceptional French jeweller, founder of the house of Boucheron. In 1858 he opened his first shop in the arcades of the Palais-Royal in Paris. In 1893 he was the first of the great contemporary jewellers to open a boutique at Place Vendôme (number 26) - an address that remains emblematic of this world-renowned maison.
