Services
MATER is an art market agent. We organize auctions and direct sales, and provide expert appraisal, valuation, and collection management services, including consulting and advice on estate distribution processes. We work as a network to appraise, study, and enhance the value of the pieces entrusted to us. We also provide conservation, maintenance, and restoration services.
Appraisals for the purposes of property division, insurance, official inventories or any other purpose. These appraisals are officially recognised and may be requested by private individuals, companies and institutions. A formal appraisal includes a comprehensive report containing photographs, technical descriptions, experts notes on items where appropriate, the condition of the items and an estimated value. It may be carried out within Portugal or abroad, and the cost is 2% (+VAT) of the total value of the minimum estimates.
