Notes
Romantic scene possibly inspired by the Persian story of Zal and the princess Rudaba, a celebrated episode from the Shahnameh (The Book of Kings), written by Ferdows.
The relationship between what we see and what we know is never complete. The way we see things is influenced by what we know, or by what we believe.
