A baluster vase

Portuguese silver (833/000). Of baluster form, foot with relief decoration depicting shellwork, body with engraved, relief and chased decoration in the Baroque taste, with large volutes, shells and acanthus leaves forming cartouches, neck with geometric frieze of Art Deco inspiration.

Porto hallmark in use from 1938 to 1984 and goldsmith's mark of the same period.
